About Daniel Wilson

Daniel Wilson is a second year DMA student and a Teaching Fellow in the studio of Mr. John Holt. Daniel holds a Bachelors degree in Music Performance from Henderson State University and a Masters degree in Church Music with a concentration in Trumpet Performance from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has performed with such groups as the Dallas Opera, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra, the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and the Little Rock Wind Symphony. During his study at Henderson State University, Daniel won the outstanding music major award three of his four years. He also founded the HSU chapter of the International Trumpet Guild. At Southwestern Seminary, Daniel received the Carolyn Lott Award in Instrumental Church Music.Daniel is a native of Van Alstyne, TX. Daniel has studied with Camille Snyder, Aren Van Houzen, Bert Truax, Jim Buckner, David Laubach, and Adam Gordon. Daniel maintains an active studio and enjoys playing all types of music.
